When I was a kid, serendipity was my favourite word. I didn’t know what it meant, I just liked the sound of it. Now that I know what it means (stumbling across something fortunate when you’re not looking for it), I like it even more, especially when it comes to travel.

It’s so easy to get caught up in where you’re going when you’re travelling, but it’s often the little things you saw or did along the way that you remember.

We were driving around the Sunshine Coast hinterland the other day and took a random detour. We weren’t really expecting to find anything very exciting, but we ended up spending hours there, watching these nutbags… (watch for the 15 metre fall at the end!)
